On Monday, May 27, we celebrate Memorial Day, a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Please have an enjoyable and safe time this Memorial day weekend with your family. Next weekend, June 1, is Championship Saturday for our Majors and Minors AAA and AA teams. We hope to see you at the fields.

Randy Clark, Dedicated Volunteer, Passes by

It comes with a very heavy heart and deep sadness to let you know of the passing of a dear SBLL family member, Randy Clark. Randy was a close friend, dedicated volunteer, coach, father and husband who lost a long fought battle with cancer. Over the past eight years, Randy volunteered and served many roles within SBLL and helped us to be a successful organization. He truly epitomized the definition of a volunteer. As an endurance athlete and dedicated mentor to children, he always had a fierce competitive drive, passion and strong desire to educate our children in youth sports. Sadly, he finished his last endurance race but not without a fight along the way. He is survived by his beloved wife, Anne, and son, Cameron.

but only true friends will leave footprints on your heart."
Randy was a true friend to me and SBLL. His footprint runs deep. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and to the many people he has touched.
Plans for a dedication and establishment of a College Fund in Randy's name are in process. More details to follow.

The League needs your help on removal of garbage from the fields after each game, especially after weekend games. Please help me get the message out to parents, players and coaching staff. We are guests of the school district and we (collectively) do a poor job keeping the fields and environment clean. We need better solutions or we may lose future use of the fields.
