- Little League University
- Little League International offers a comprehensive online resource guide containing a variety of information for coaches, parents, volunteers, etc. It’s a great tool for keeping tabs on topical items in the Little League coach community.
- USA Baseball Mobile Coach
- USA Baseball’s free “Mobile Coach” app contains several resources that aim to simplify practice planning. On this website, you can find age-appropriate tools relating to:
- Strength and Conditioning
- Skill-specific drills
- Sample practice plans, including examples from former Major Leaguers
- The Youth Baseball Skills Matrix , which functions as a timeline for the types of skills that should be taught at each phase in player development
- USA Baseball Coaches Clinics
- USA Baseball has created an ongoing series of online community clinics, hosted live approximately 2-3 times per month and also available in a YouTube recording library. These include interviews, Q&A’s, detailed overviews and examples of how to teach skills.
- Little League Coach Pitch Program
- Created within “Little League University”, the Coach Pitch program was developed to provide a 12-week outline for practices at coach-pitch levels, created in partnership with the Positive Coaching Alliance. This is a strong, comprehensive resource that can offer very helpful guidance to both first-time and returning coaches. Take the bits and pieces that you find most valuable, and this is something that can help you in excellent detail.
- T-Ball Division Resources
- Little League has curated resources specifically for T-Ball coaches. This page contains full practice plans, quick plans, activity guides, and many helpful tips on how to teach the most basic skills to the youngest players while still having a great time
